The Chapel District PTO is working hard for you!

ANGEL TREE:  The PTO works with school administrators to have an angel tree in the lobby during the holidays.  The families remain confidential and the PTO collects gift items and food boxes to donate to families in need in our school community.  This year's angel tree will be in the school lobby from December 4-14, 2011.

BACK TO SCHOOL LUNCH:  We love to welcome back our teachers and staff with a luncheon that the PTO sponsors to tell them how special and appreciated they are.

BOOK FAIR:  CDES PTO sponsors two Book Fairs during the year,  in December and in the Spring. Our Fall 2011  Book Fair will be held December 5-9, 2011.  Our Spring 2010 Book Fair will be held February  7-11, 2011  with our popular Spaghetti Dinner night occuring on February 8th. Come see your Chapel teachers and staff serve it up and eat dinner with your family and visit our bookfair.  Contact Dawn Andrews to volunteer for the book fair and Nicolle Dull to help with Spaghetti Dinner.

CARNIVAL:  The carnival is CDES PTO's first big event of the school year.  The big date is October 1st!  It is a lot of fun and we need lots of volunteers!  Contact Tracy Pinheiro or Cathy Weems if you would like to help with the Fall Carnival 2011.

CHEETAH WEAR:  The PTO sponsors "Cheetah Wear", sweatshirts and tee shirts with the CDES logo. Show your school spirit with Cheetah Wear!  For more information contact LeAnn Allen.

DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE:   A special event for our CDES girls and their Dads. For more information contact Melanie Chapple or Eva Spencer.

DESIGNER HAND BAG BINGO:  Friday, April 13, 2012 Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bingo begins at 7:00 p.m.  We will be featuring mostly Coach and Vera Bradley bags this year.   A fun event that benefits the PTO fundraising efforts.  Donations of bags or contributions towards the purchase of bags graciously appreciated.  Please contact Sarah Mosslih at (410) 770-5116  if you would like to help or make a contribution.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT:  This year's family will be held on November 4th starting at 7:00p.  We will be having our Harvest Bingo night of fun.  Admission is a canned good to benefit local families in need as the Holiday's approach.

FUNDRAISERS:  The CDES PTO is always looking for new ways to raise money. We have a Fall fundraising event each year, a Spring fundraising event along with several smaller events. Please contact Aly Meiklejohn with suggestions or information or if you would like to help.

LUNCH WITH SANTA:  A fabulous event that takes place this year on December 3, 2011. Activities, raffles and of course Santa!  Thanks goes out to Jill Sherwood and her helpers for planning the 2011 Lunch with Santa.

MOVIE NIGHT:  This is part of our Family Fun Night committee and is an activity that we brought back last year to a resounding success!    Bring your blankets and your chairs, absolutely bring the kids because it is all about family.  Concessions will be available at family friendly prices, we look forward to bringing our Chapel family members out for a great family time together.

SERVICE AUCTION & DINNER:  This is an event that the PTO hosts every other year!  This has proved to be a fun and creative fundraiser.  Last years proceeds benefited our students through the purchase of 5 new mats for our gymnasium.  Rave reviews came in about the food which was an all you can eat buffet for $5 a person.  No service is unappreciated.  Individuals and businesses offer up services for auction.  There is a value and minimum bid assessed and let the bidders go wild.  This is a newer event for Chapel if you have any questions or would like to make a contribution please contact Liz Connelly at (410) 770-3991.

SPAGHETTI DINNER:  Our Spring 2012 Book Fair will be held March 26-30, 2012  with our popular Spaghetti Dinner night occuring on March 27th FROM 4:30-6:30 p.m.  Come and take a peak at the book fair.  You can also see Chapel Teachers and Staff helping out to prepare and serve up the tasty Spaghetti Dinner.  Contact Nicole Dull if you would like information or to help at (410) 820-9090.

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK:  May 7-11, 2011.  This is the week the PTO and parents show their appreciation for our wonderful staff and teachers.  The Staff Appreciation Committee Chairperson Martha Sparks sends out information to each classes room parent/room team on ideas to show our appreciation to the teacher and a designated staff employee per classroom.  If you would like to assist in the effort please contact Martha Sparks at (410) 820-0625.

STUDENT COUNCIL:  We have a student council who is elected in the fall of each year.  They plan activities to enhance school spririt and community involvement.  They coordinate the canned food drive in the fall for local food pantries.

VARIETY SHOW:  The PTO sponsors this exciting event in the Spring. It is a lot of fun for both kids and volunteers! Currently we are looking for a parent/guardian who is interested in chairing this event.  Please contact a PTO officer if you are interested in volunteering for the variety show.
